Cool, cryptic, and cloaked in shadow, this portrait of Andrew Eldritch captures the high priest of goth in full spectral command. His dark glasses and long hair cut a silhouette of mystery, while the swirling marbled backdrop, all bruised blues and acid greens, pulses with tension and theatrical menace. The stark palette and graphic contrasts echo the band’s relentless rhythm and lyrical bite.
Pip’s tribute conjures Eldritch as both oracle and outlaw, a figure who stalks the stage like a ghost in leather. This canvas doesn’t just depict him, it reverberates with his myth.
🕶 Some kind of stranger, and unmistakably iconic.
Andrew Eldritch, The Sisters of Mercy (Canvas Prints)
This print is reproduced from Pip's original hand painted acrylic artwork. It is brought to life on a premium canvas giclée print, designed to showcase every detail with rich depth and vibrant colours. The work is one of a series of 10 paintings from Wirral based artist Pip that form the ‘Eighties Goth’ collection.
Canvas prints are available in 4 sizes:
- Small 12" x 12" (30cm x 30cm)
- Medium 20" x 20" (50cm x 50cm)
- Large 28" x 28" (70cm x 70cm)
- Extra Large 40" x 40" (100cm x 100cm).
The artwork is printed on to a high quality poly-cotton blend canvas that is wrapped around a thick wooden pine frame that sits off the wall. The print image wraps around the sides of the frame so is perfect to hang straight on to the wall without framing.
Alternatively choose to add a black or white floater frame that create a striking 'floating' effect, giving the art an elegant, modern touch.
Please note that some of the images are provided for illustrative purposes to show how the canvas print is constructed. The actual shipped print will use the specific painting of the selected product ordered.
