Step into the neon bright, heart thumping world of 1987 with this vibrant Whitney Houston artwork - a tribute with an explosion of colour, confidence and pure pop euphoria. Inspired by the iconic 'I Wanna Dance With Somebody' video, this portrait captures Whitney at her most radiant: bold curls, electric energy, and that unmistakable smile that made the whole world want to get up and move.
Rendered in Pip’s signature pop art style, the piece blends expressive brushwork with a high contrast palette that practically sings from the wall. The dynamic purple backdrop (Whitney's favourite colour), splashes of colour, and the joyful “I WANNA DANCE” typography bring the spirit of the era rushing back...shoulder pads, synths, and the unstoppable magic of Whitney’s voice.
Whether you lived through the moment or discovered it later, this artwork is a celebration of everything that made Whitney a global icon: joy, freedom, and the irresistible pull of the dancefloor.
